I’ve been travelling and working a lot this week, so I’ve not had time to write a proper post. Instead, this is a webcomic I read a couple of days ago and which deserves to be seen by as many people as possible.
Rather than summarise it clumsily, here’s some of the first few images. I imagine it will sound quite familiar.
This precisely describes how my parents behaved during my childhood: my Mum was in charge — she project-managed — and my Dad was the ‘underling’, who did what he was told but didn’t make any of the tough decisions.
And as the eldest child and the only girl in my family, I am exactly the same. But why? Why do I feel that I need to do this — not just around my family, but around all kinds of people in my whole life?
Do you feel this way, too?
